About the project
Photogrammetry consists in reconstituting a 3D model from several photos that overlap. The principle is simple and has been known for over 100 years, however its modernization on digital photos and its automation with our modern computing power allows to digitize in 3D objects or buildings. This technology still suffers from several limitations especially on vegetation, it is however robust enough to generate a reliable 3D model for uses such as in video games, movies, or for heritage conservation.
